How on earth has mankind survived through the ages?

That is my question...

From the dawn of humanity, with its wild dangers, to the present days, overcoming wars, famines, epidemics and human folly... I can't say that I've never thought about it before, but it was more a distant idea.

But since September 2024 I see things differently: a little boy arrived to me.

And from the past last months it became an evidence to me: how on earth the mankind survived through the ages?

In the last 8 months I can count on my fingers the nights where I was able to sleep. I'm more someone who need to sleep 8 to 10hours per night, I'm more someone able to nap 4hours in the afternoon... Now, I'm more like a zombies.

In another time not being able to get a real night's sleep, being tired all the day, everyday, was probably a significant factor in our passing from life to death sooner than expected.

Feeding is also a thing. Fortunately, at the supermarket we have baby food and infant formula milk. I've tried to cook by myself: carrots, spinach, broccoli, potatoes, pumpkin, green peas, French beans, chicken, fish, ... it's time-eager! A lot more than cooking for myself for a mitigated result... Also cooking while the little one is crying because hungry is like Hell.
